Project Synopsis
A torrential rainstorm resulted in flooding of the 100,000-square-foot Mapleton Public Schools Administration Building. Due to the amount of water infiltration, students and staff that used this facility were displaced to various other locations throughout the district until the damaged areas could be rebuilt. It was imperative for Spyder to repair the damage and restore the building quickly to ensure that students and staff could return to a safe and conducive learning environment.
Challenges
The impact of the flood damaged long lead-time electrical equipment. Spyder worked to minimize the impact of delays while finding creative solutions to allow the structure to be reinhabited while anticipating the arrival and integration of critical equipment.
Results
Mapleton reopened to welcome students and staff back to an environment that was not only safe but also better equipped to nurture their educational mission.
