Ivy Crossing Vehicle Impact

Spyder Environmental was contacted after a vehicle struck an older multifamily building, disturbing asbestos-containing materials and creating an immediate environmental hazard. Our team was onsite the next morning to assess the damage, scope the work, and coordinate with property management. Leveraging our relationship with CDPHE, we secured an emergency permit—avoiding the standard 10-day wait—and began abatement exactly one week later. Initial efforts focused on decontaminating the asbestos spill caused by the impact. Containment was established, the area was cleaned, and clearance air sampling was completed to ensure safety. With clearance secured, Spyder proceeded to remove additional asbestos-containing drywall systems under full containment, preparing the unit for reconstruction in accordance with CDPHE regulations.
