Project Synopsis
Spyder Environmental was contracted to perform methamphetamine decontamination and restoration of a residential unit within a multifamily housing complex after contamination levels were found to exceed regulatory thresholds. The project involved complete interior demolition, including the removal of all contaminated materials and systems, followed by detailed cleaning and surface preparation for clearance testing. Once third-party lab results confirmed the unit met state health standards, Spyder seamlessly transitioned the project to our rebuild team, restoring the unit to a safe and habitable condition.
RESULTS
All decontamination activities were completed successfully, with clearance sample results measuring well below the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) cleanup standard of 0.5 μg/100 cm². No additional remediation was required, and the unit passed all clearance testing and was officially certified as safe for re-occupancy.
