Project Synopsis
The Ambassador project involved a comprehensive roof replacement and structural repair of the parking garage to address significant issues related to faulty waterproofing and age-related deterioration. For the roof replacement, the existing ballasted EPDM system was removed and replaced with a modern TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) roofing, providing enhanced durability and energy efficiency. Simultaneously, the subgrade parking structure underwent extensive rehabilitation. This included the removal of old traffic coatings, which allowed for a full assessment and repair of the underlying structure. Additionally, drainage systems were re-engineered to resolve pooling issues and mitigate future water damage, while several structural columns were reinforced to restore stability and support the long-term functionality of the garage.
RESULTS
In the end, the project successfully restored the building’s structural integrity and functionality. The TPO roofing system now offers improved weather resilience and energy savings, while the reinforced parking structure enhances stability and usability for the condominium’s residents.
