Project Synopsis
After a third-floor apartment fire, asbestos-containing materials were disturbed and spread during emergency response. Contaminated debris was disposed of through the interior courtyard and exterior east side, impacting three floors, nine units, walkways, and common areas. Spyder Environmental was contracted to perform emergency asbestos abatement across all affected zones.
RESULTS
The asbestos spill affected both interior and exterior areas of an occupied building, requiring careful containment and coordination. Spyder implemented a phased approach using custom wood framing to isolate sections, maintain air control, and ensure resident egress throughout the project.
