The Argonaut Apartments located across the street from the Colorado State Capitol on Grant Street in Denver was devastated by a large eight-unit fire. Several of the fire-damaged materials contained asbestos, requiring extensive abatement in addition to fire restoration.
This project presented many substantial challenges. First, the fire caused major damage to eight units and additional smoke damage to much of the outside of the property. Secondly, as the Argonaut is a historical building. Eight of the 55 units were damaged, the building remained occupied by elderly residents during the restoration process. The restoration required extensive reconstruction with very limited access for equipment and crew.
This challenging fire restoration project was completed with no safety incidents, on the timeline, and within budget.
